Golden Cloud reserves its rights to amend the content of the website, at any time and without any notice. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You hereby consent to exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa in respect of any disputes arising in connection with these terms or any matter related to or in connection therewith.

Golden Cloud Winter 2025 T&Cs

GOLDEN CLOUD WINTER 2025 CAMPAIGN - T&Cs ("COMPETITION RULES")

  1. Interpretation
    1. In these Competition Rules, the following definitions apply (unless the context clearly indicates a contrary intention):
      1. “the Act” means the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008;
      2. "Business Day" means a day other than a Saturday or a Sunday or a public holiday in South Africa;
      3. “Competition Rules” means these rules, as required by Section 36 of the Act;
      4. “Participant” means an individual who enters the Promotional Competition and meets the criteria set out in clause 4.1;
      5. “POPI” means the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013;
      6. “Promoter” means Tiger Consumer Brands Limited;
      7. “Promotional Competition” means the competition as run by the Promoter during the Promotion Period;
      8. “Promotion Period” means 01 April 2025 to 30 June 2025 at 00h00. No late entries will be accepted;
      9. “Prize” means as further described in clause 6;
      10. “Redeemable Period” means Participants have 1 month to redeem their Prize;
      11. “Winner” means a Participant who is successful and notified by the Promoter in terms of clause 7.
  2. Introduction
    1. The Promoter offers a Promotional Competition for Participants to enter and win Prizes according to these rules.
  3. The Consumer Protection Act
    1. The Competition Rules contain terms which may:
      1. limit the risk or liability of the Promoter or third party;
      2. create risk or liability for the Participant;
      3. compel the Participant to indemnify the Promoter or a third party;
      4. serve as an acknowledgment by the Participant of certain facts.
  4. The Participant
    1. The Participant must be:
      1. a natural person (not juristic);
      2. 18 years or older;
      3. a permanent resident or citizen of South Africa.
    2. By entering, the Participant acknowledges understanding and agreement with the rules.
    3. All participation is at the Participant’s own risk.
    4. Employees, agents, or consultants of the Promoter and their direct family may not enter.
  5. How to enter
    1. Buy ANY 2 GOLDEN CLOUD PREMIX products and:
      • Scan the QR code in-store; or
      • WhatsApp a picture of the till slip to 087 240 6393. Data rates apply.
    2. Participating GOLDEN CLOUD products:

    3. Keep the till slip showing purchase of products. It may be required for verification.
    4. The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures affecting entry submission.
    5. Unclear or error-filled entries are invalid.
    6. One entry per unique till slip per day. Max 20 entries during the competition.
  6. The Prize
    1. R160,000 in grocery vouchers is available.
    2. Comprising:
      • 60 × R1,000 Shoprite/Checkers digital vouchers,
      • 50 × Pick ‘n Pay digital vouchers,
      • 50 × Spar physical vouchers.
    3. Vouchers are awarded randomly via instant win. Till slips must be verified.
    4. Digital vouchers will be SMSed to the entered phone number. The Promoter is not liable if the number is inaccessible.
    5. Physical vouchers will be couriered. The Promoter is not liable for wrong addresses.
    6. Vouchers are valid for 2 years from issue date.
    7. Also to be won:
      • 10 × Philips 6.2L air fryers
      • 5 × Kenwood Chef Mixers
    8. Awarded via monthly draws:
      • May: 3 air fryers, 1 mixer
      • June: 3 air fryers, 2 mixers
      • July: 4 air fryers, 3 mixers
    9. Unclaimed prizes after 1 month will be forfeited.
    10. One prize per participant and per household. Previous winners in past 183 days are not eligible.
  7. The Winners
    1. 160 grocery voucher winners will be selected via instant win (subject to slip verification).
    2. Monthly prize draws for appliances:
      1. May: 4 finalists + 4 backups
      2. June: 5 finalists + 5 backups
      3. July: 6 finalists + 6 backups
    3. Winners are drawn randomly and contacted within 2 weeks. If not reachable, backups will be contacted.
    4. Finalists must provide ID, slip, address, and contact details for verification.
    5. They have 3 working days to submit required documents.
    6. Only valid till slips within promo dates will be accepted.
    7. Winners will be announced on Golden Cloud’s Facebook page.
    8. Winners may be asked to take part in publicity campaigns.
    9. Winners must sign acknowledgment and may sign waivers before claiming prizes.
    10. Participants consent to their personal data being used for adjudication and future marketing.
    11. Publicity participation is not remunerated. All materials remain Promoter property.
  8. The Rules
    1. Participants must provide correct information and allow processing under POPI.
    2. The Promoter may amend rules or terminate the competition, and participants waive rights in this regard.
    3. In disputes, the Promoter’s decision is final.
    4. Fraudulent or dishonest behavior will lead to disqualification.
  9. Indemnifications
    1. Participants indemnify the Promoter and partners from any liabilities from participation, including personal injury, property damage, defamation, etc.
    2. Winners accept that the Promoter is not responsible for costs after prize claiming.
  10. Prize Qualification Rules
    1. Prizes will not be handed over if prohibited by law. Eligibility must be proven.
    2. The Promoter may substitute the prize with one of similar value.

  11. POPI
    1. Personal data will be used according to the Act and POPI, and not shared without consent.
    2. This promotion is not sponsored or endorsed by Facebook, Twitter, or any Social Network.
