Ingredients

Cake

  • 125g Golden Cloud Self-raising flour 

  • 75g Golden Cloud Cake flour 

  • 275g Castor Sugar 

  • 1/2t Salt

  • 175g Unsalted butter

  • 3 Large Eggs

  • 85g Sour Cream 

  • 1t Vanilla Extract

Buttercream Frosting 

  • 250g  Unsalted Butter - softened 

  • 500g  Icing Sugar - Sifted

  • 2T Milk

  • 1/2t  Vanilla Extract 

  • Fresh Strawberries Or Sprinkles 

Method 

Cake

  • Preheat the oven to 160^C.

  • Prepare a baking sheet with baking spray and line the bottom with baking paper.

  • In a bowl, sift the dry ingredients together. In another bowl combine the wet ingredients.

  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and using a hand mixer, mix ‘till well combined. 2-3 minutes.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and bake for 22 minutes.

  • Allow to cool completely in the pan.

Buttercream 

10. Beat the butter for 5 minutes. 

11. Add in the sifted icing sugar in 2 additions, beating for 5 minutes after each addition.

12. Add the milk and vanilla extract.

13. Beat for an additional 2-3 minutes.

14. Frost your cake as desired and top with fresh strawberries or sprinkles!
