Cardamom and saffron chai & Gulgula Recipe

Ingredients:
Cardamom and Saffron Chai:
- 2 tbsp loose tea leaves (or 4 tea bags)
- 4 cardamom pods, crushed
- 10-12 strands saffron
- 500ml boiling water
- 300-400ml milk
- Sugar to taste
Gulgula:
- 250g Golden Cloud Self-Rising Flour
- 125ml white sugar
- 50g desiccated coconut
- 50g crushed almonds
- 50g sultanas
- ½ tsp cardamon powder
- Pinch of salt
- 125ml milk
- Sunflower oil for deep drying
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 °C.
- Grease a 12-cup muffin pan or line with paper cups.
- Whisk the oil, water and eggs together.
- Place the Golden Cloud® Banana Flavoured Loaf and Muffin Mix a medium sized mixing bowl.
- Make a well in the centre of the muffin mix and add the liquid mixture.
- Using a wooden spoon, stir until the ingredients are just combined. Do not over mix.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin pan and fill each cup ¾ full.
- Bake for 15 — 20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the muffin.
