Orange Tea Loaf
Ingredients
1 box GOLDEN CLOUD VANILLA CAKE MIX
10ml (2 teaspoons) ground ginger
125ml (½ cup) oil or melted butter
2 extra large eggs, beaten
grated rind of 1 large orange
190ml (¾ cup) orange juice
Glace Icing:
1pkt icing mix from box
30ml (2 tablespoons) orange juice
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and line a loaf tin.
- In a large bowl, mix together Golden Cloud Vanilla Cake Mix, ginger, oil, eggs, orange rind and juice.
- Spoon mixture into loaf tin and bake in oven for 50 minutes. Insert skewer in the centre, if it comes out clean the loaf is ready.
- To make glace icing; mix together half a packet of the icing from the box with orange juice to make a runny but spreadable mixture. Pour over loaf and decorate with grated orange rind.
